Friday Call to Action: Best Video Practice Run

By the end of the week, most entrepreneurs already know they should be doing video. That is not the issue. The issue is that confidence is usually running on fumes by Friday. When people feel tired or unsure, telling them to “just go make another video” creates more resistance, not progress...like, "hey let's skip Happy Hour to run 3 miles in the woods, in the cold tonight."
What actually works is removing pressure while still building momentum, setting the stage for effective habits and making you comfortable doing video.
Step 1: Borrow Confidence Before You Create This weekend, choose three videos you genuinely enjoyed watching. Not ones you felt obligated to like, but ones that held your attention naturally. Watch them again with intention and ask one simple question. What made this work? Was it the hook? The clarity of the topic? The relaxed tone? If it is highly edited, what would it look like as simple? You are not copying, you are training your brain to recognize what an effective video feels like. Confidence grows faster when you know what “good” looks like.

Step 2: Practice Without the Pressure Set up your phone and tripod exactly like you are about to film, but keep the camera off. Pick one specific topic and do three short practice runs. Each run follows the same simple flow. Start with a hook. Share ONE clear thing people need to know. End with a simple call to action. No recording, no posting, no editing. This is about repetition, not performance. Familiarity is what removes fear.
When you show up next week, video feels different. Your setup is no longer foreign. Your structure is already wired in. You are not starting from scratch, you are building on reps you already put in when no one was watching. That is how confidence compounds quietly and sustainably. Video does not get easier because you force it. It gets easier because you make it familiar.
And remember your first 5ish videos won't be masterpieces no matter what, it is called progress and we thrive in the world of progress.
End Of Week Call To Action This weekend, follow the two steps. Borrow confidence by studying three videos you loved, then do three camera off practice runs using the hook, clarity, call to action flow.
