A 3-minute self-assessment
Instructions for the reader: Answer honestly (sometimes obvious is not so obvious, right?). This is not about being “good at marketing,” it’s about whether your systems actually support you on a bad week.
Rate each statement from 1 to 5 1 = Strongly Disagree 5 = Strongly Agree

Section 1: Pattern Recognition
I understand what is actually working in my marketing.
I can clearly identify which recent marketing actions led to real conversations.
I regularly look back at what I posted or shared to see what worked.
I know which platforms or activities bring me the best connections.
I adjust my marketing based on past results, not just habit.
I could explain why I’m doing my current marketing strategy.
Pattern Recognition Score: Add these five numbers.
Section 2: Follow-Up Systems or CRM
I consistently turn conversations into ongoing relationships.
I have a reliable place where I track conversations and contacts.
I rarely forget to follow up with someone I intended to reconnect with.
Every meaningful conversation has a clear next step.
I can quickly see who I need to follow up with this week.
My follow-up process does not rely on memory alone.
Follow-Up Systems Score: Add these five numbers.
Section 3: Grit Systems
My marketing continues even when motivation disappears.
I have a simple marketing routine I can stick to on busy weeks.
I know what the minimum “win” looks like for my marketing each week.
I don’t need to feel inspired to take small marketing actions.
My marketing systems survive interruptions like vacations or stressful weeks.
I enjoy enough of my marketing that I come back to it naturally.
Grit Systems Score: Add these five numbers.
Scoring & Results
Each section has a maximum score of 25.
20–25
Strong System This area is supporting you well. Keep refining it, not rebuilding it.
13–19
Inconsistent You have the right ideas, but they’re not locked into a repeatable system yet. Where can you build consistency through habits?
5–12
Weak or Missing This area is likely causing frustration, inconsistency, or burnout without you realizing it. What is your current system, it should not be too tough to identify the holes and start committing to patching them up.
Which section score the lowest and what action would improve that skill to make it stronger?
If one area stood out as weaker than expected, that’s not a failure, it’s information. This is exactly what we work through inside Live Local, building systems that support you when motivation fades.
Alright, reflection time is over, get back to work as we get closer and closer to warm marketing mastery.
