Friday CTA: Your Collaboration Map

Friday Finisher:

Accountability Score: Tally up your actions this week, 1 point for each accomplishment

Not completed but still important: As you reflect, we need to continually analyze your results - what tasks did not get finished, but you still believe are important

Not completed, but may need to cut: Keep a close eye on certain actions on your list that may not be producing, you may not enjoy, and are getting skipped

New Connections: Who did you meet this week and were added to your CRM

Big Win this week: What is one thing that went well, that you are proud of from the week (we will start Monday with your wins)

One focus for next week: What do we need to get done next week to make it a success

Entrepreneurs love to say “I’ll reach out soon.” But without a plan, “soon” becomes “someday.”

The Blog:

That’s why this week, instead of just making a list of people you could collaborate with, we’re going to map it out and start putting action into motion.

Think of this as your Collaboration Marketing Map, a simple guide that turns great intentions into real results (I should know, this has worked for me for over 15 years).

Step 1: Identify Your Match

Write down one local business that shares your values.

  • Who serves a similar audience without being a competitor?

  • Who has the same heart for community impact?

  • Who’s doing something you genuinely admire?

This is your collaboration match, your partner in creativity.

Step 2: Define the Shared Goal

What can both of you gain by working together?

  • Grow visibility?

  • Host an event?

  • Support a local cause? Each choose one clear, measurable goal, and I mean ONE.

Step 3: Pick the Format

Decide how you’ll collaborate and choose a path on your map:

  • Joint Video or Social Campaign

  • Shared Giveaway or Promotion

  • Community Event or Workshop

  • Cross-Feature in Each Other’s Emails or Blogs

Keep it simple. One focused idea done well beats ten ideas that never leave your notebook.

Step 4: Schedule & Commit

Set a date, even if it’s a small launch. Momentum beats perfection. Once it’s on the calendar, it’s real.

Step 5: Reflect & Repeat

After the collaboration, ask:

  • What worked best?

  • Did both audiences engage?

  • What could we try next time?

Collaborations get easier and more effective with every repetition.

This weekend, don’t just think about connecting, use your map and take one step forward.

Show your future collaboration partners that you are organized, serious, and have a plan to help both of you grow. Because when local businesses work together with intention, everyone moves closer to the goal.

Bonus for this weekend, the "Come, Get Out of the Cold" Campaign is underway - finish the 5 day Challenge and get the book for free
