Know When to Reflect & When to Push It

Your brain is working when you think It Is not. There is a part of your brain called the Default Mode Network.
It activates when you stop actively working. When you take a walk, sit quietly, or just stare out the window for a few minutes. WHEN YOU PUT THE PHONE AWAY.
For a long time, neuroscientists called it the "task-negative network" because it seemed like the brain was doing nothing, but we have learned this is not the case.
This task network is where your "aha" moments live. For example, the insight you had in the shower, the solution that appeared on a Saturday morning when you were not even thinking about work, and sipping your coffee, staring into the backyard. This is your brain doing its best thinking.

Here is the problem for most local service professionals right now, myself included, we are conditioned to believe that if we are not actively pushing, we are falling behind. Especially in this kind of economic space, if you are like me, your default mode is to push harder. We send more messages, we post more content, we take every call, attend more networking meetings, we grind through the weekend.
And your best thinking never comes, the problems continue to be thorns in your side, you can't quite figure out why things are not clicking, but we believe if we just power through, the answers will present themselves.
I believe you are smart enough to have creative solutions, but we need to give our brains the downtime it needs to connect the dots.
Growing a referral-based business requires more than activity; it requires clarity. The kind of clarity that only comes when you step back long enough to actually see what is working, what is not, and where the real opportunity is sitting right in front of you.
The hardest skill in business is not pushing harder; it is knowing when to stop so you can think better. In my podcast, one of the questions I frequently ask is how the guest avoids burnout, and I honestly do that to get more ideas for myself.
So this week we are taking some time to remind you of your greatest business strength...how to know when a few days off is actually the best business decision you can make, and when it is time to lock in and execute with everything you have.
If you have been running on fumes and wondering why the results are not matching the effort, this week is for you. On the other hand, if you are on the edge of a breakthrough and about to make a leap forward in your business, now is the time to press on.
This week, the reminders and practical strategies your business needs to solve problems and achieve success.
And one of the BEST ways to grow your business is to take just ten minutes a day, take the 5 Day Challenge, and change the way you market forever: https://www.livelocalwarmmarketing.com/courses
