Posts Must Turn Into Meetings

An important Wednesday reminder: Posting is not the goal. Meeting is the goal.

Every strategy we talked about on Monday, every intentional post, every spotlight, every bit of real content you share, none of it matters if it stays on the screen and you just sit around playing the numbers game.

The algorithm is not going to pay your bills, the person behind the comment will.

In an economy where everyone is cutting back, the businesses that are growing are not the ones with the best content. They are the ones sitting across the table from their customers, their referral partners, and their community.

Thanks to the marvel of AI, human connection is the most undervalued asset in marketing right now.

So let's talk about how to turn your content into actual meetings.

When someone engages, move the conversation. A like is nothing, a comment is something, and a reply is an opening. When someone takes the time to engage with your post, do not just heart it and move on. Send them a message. "Hey, really appreciated your comment on that post. Are you free for a quick coffee next week? I would love to hear more about what you are working on." And if you think that is too aggressive, soften it up, but keep the invitation aspect of your response.

When you spotlight someone, follow it up and get feedback- did it help, what else can you do for them this week? If you shouted out a local business on Monday, do not let it end there. Send them the post. Tell them why you chose to highlight them, then ask if they want to grab fifteen minutes to connect. The spotlight gave you a reason to reach out that feels natural. Use it to not sell them anything, but to give.

When you share something real, invite the conversation it starts. The best posts end in DMs. If you shared a story about a client problem and someone writes "this is exactly what I am dealing with," that is not a comment. That is a meeting waiting to happen. Reply with something like "I have been through this a few times. Want to hop on a quick call? Happy to share what worked."

Three meetings a week change your business; not thirty, Three.

Three real conversations with real people where you are not selling, you are listening. That is where referrals come from. That is where partnerships start. That is where trust gets built.

Content gets you noticed, meetings get you hired.

If you are using LinkedIn right now and not converting any of it into in-person or face-to-face conversations, you are leaving the entire point of the platform on the table. In fact I would take it one step further and state with confidence that you are NOT going to sell things to entrepreneurs on LinkedIn, but it is a space to make connections.

The economy is tight and attention is expensive as people double down on their hustle to outrun the marketing budget. But a cup of coffee is still fifteen minutes and five dollars, and it will do more for your business than any ad you could run this month.

Who is one person from your feed this week that you should be sitting across from instead?
